This unique and beautiful country house is built from Ytong blocks (a type of aerated concrete block that provides high thermal insulation), set over a deep concrete foundation, and has top quality double glazed windows throughout. The running costs of this house are extremely low due to its energy efficiency. The entire project was carried out to the highest standards and is earthquake resistant and complies to all building regulations. The entire house was designed to reflect the Moorish architecture of the Alhama Palace and has stone, wood, and water elements carefully and thoughtfully used, it just screams quality.

A small building, also of Ytong blocks, is situated on a hill above the house and contains all the controls and batteries for the extensive solar system, the solar-heated hot water tank and the gas back up system. An annex provides a self contained living space for visitors with a bedroom/living area, shower, kitchen and Jøtul wood burner.
Additional: There is a dry composting lavatory. An Insulated dog kennel/workshop is in a separate enclosure. A carport, and back-up diesel generator (rarely used).
You will also have a small rainwater swimming pool, plus two water tanks holding approx. 40,000 litre of rainwater storage between them.
A 150m deep borehole provides drinking-quality water via a header tank higher up the hill, giving gravity flow.
Annual land tax is about 250. The farm is completely isolated, having no other visible dwellings and no-one else living within about 3kms.
Access is via a track over two neighbouring farms. The nearest village is 5km away with banks, mini-markets, bars, pharmacy, medical centre, olive co-operative, petrol station, mechanic, builders’ merchant, and hardware shop. Granada city is about 45 minutes by car, ski resort around 1 hr 15 minutes and a beach at about 1 hr. Malaga airport 2 hours by car
