Located some 450 metres above sea level, Orgiva (the capital of the Western Alpujarras) lies in the Alpujarra valley between the Sierra de Lujar and the Sierra Nevada in the province of Granada. This region is one of the finest walking areas in Europe and has been certified by unesco as a Biosphere Reserve.
