The property is situated in the centre of Uzes, one of the most sought-after towns in southern France. The bustling market town is quintessentially French and dates back to Roman times. Just a short drive from the town is the astonishing Pont du Gard, a 1st Century Roman aqueduct, listed as a UNESCO World heritage site. The town itself has cobbled streets, fine Renaissance mansions and a magnificent central square, the Place-aux-Herbes.
